Moisture holder Type L Form E (DIN 42562 / EN 50216-5)
Moisture holder type L for (DIN 42562 / EN 50216-5) is used to dehumidify the intake air of Oil Type Power transformers. When the operating temperature of the transformer drops, the air is sucked through the oil chamber, the dirt particles remain in the oil chamber and are dried by the silica gel material in the Moisture holder (B1-B2).
The silicagel material inside the oil treasure and B1-B2 parts prevents the constant contact of the moist air with the insulating oil inside the Transformer and cleans the incoming air. When the oil in the transformer is heated, the air formed comes out of the expansion tank and flows in the opposite direction inside the moisture holder. Type L of moisture holder to be used is selected according to the oil volume of the transformer.
Din 42562 Moisture holder type L consists of upper part (B1) and oil chamber (OV). You can examine the table below for the product selection recommended under average operating conditions.
